Library
The Eglin Base Library collection consists of some
55,000 items, including books for all ages, large
print books, audio materials on cassette and CD and
VHS and DVDs. Adult and children's materials are available
in all formats. Over 100 different magazines and newspapers
are available in the library; many other full-text
resources are provided through online subscriptions
and databases. The Library supports off-duty educational
institutions that offer over 100 degree programs as
well as Professional Military Education courses like
Air War College, Senior NCO Academy and the Airman
Leadership School.
Online practice tests are available for the computer-based
ASVAB, CLEP, AFOQT, ACT and SAT. Students may access
these tests and other career-enhancement services
from the Library computers or remotely. Many other
library resources are also provided through the Library's
Web site, including access to the Library catalog
and cardholder's account, links to quality reference
sites and a library events calendar. The Library's

Leisure time activities are supported by a wide variety
of titles in such areas as bestsellers, arts and crafts,
sports and fitness, travel, interior decorating, automotive,
computers and gardening.
Children's programs include a weekly preschool story
time, summer reading and special presentations. Adult
programs include the annual Battle of the Brains,
author visits and contests.
The Library is located on Eglin Boulevard at Fourth
Street.
